From the telecom giant BT to smaller organisations such as Metronet, Smoothwall has over 200 partners in the UK reselling its products. The challenge brought to Calls9 was two-fold.
Firstly, access to updated and relevant marketing documentation to share with potential new customers put a strain on the marketing team. As the product developed and the marketing information changed resellers were unable to access the most up to date information.
Secondly, from a sales enablement perspective, Smoothwall's sales teams could not actually determine the number of opportunities in the sales pipeline.
The brief was to provide a solution whereby partner resellers could access all of the key marketing information whilst helping the business understand lead generation in a smarter more analytic way.
The solution had to work seemlessly across all devices including desktop, tablet and smartphone.
Calls9 Knowledge Plus was deployed to provide a private portal for all of the partners to access key marketing documentation. Calls9 Knowledge Plus was configured as such that all 200 partners could access documentation that was relevant to them.
To improve the B2B sales process, Calls9 Knowledge Plus was extended to include a deal submission form so that sales leads could be submitted by the partners
Smoothwall now have a much greater visibility through Calls9 Knowledge Plus analytics on their lead generation capabilities and can manage the sales process with greater efficiency. Providing one central place for key marketing materials ensures that the partners have quick access to the latest product information.
