Six Pump Court Chambers is ranked as a ‘Leading Set‘ in the Chambers UK Bar Guide 2015. They needed a compelling website to market their legal services. Their existing website did not reflect the full capability of the chambers. They also wanted a new digital identity that had a fresh and modern look.
Six Pump also wanted a website that could handle lots of information and relate news articles to individual Barristers on the website. Increasingly they were seeing people access their website via a mobile device so the new website had to work on smartphones and tablets. Calls9 was engaged to carry out the online re-branding, website design and development.
The design team began by analysing the Chambers' brand and history. By taking their colours, logo and physical references to the Chambers' historic location we were able to create a design that was both modern but also acknowledged the rich heritage of Six Pump.
The team then carefully designed a beautiful website which works seamlessly across desktop, tablet and smartphone devices. There was a strong focus on the user experience to make sure the site was easy to navigate.
To bring the design to life the development team used responsive coding techniques. This approach means the website dynamically re-sizes to the screen it is being viewed on. This means the same design can work across desktop, tablet and smartphone devices.
To run the website the development team called on the open-source content management system WordPress. Calls9 has years of experience in customising and deploying WordPress to meet specific client needs. The development team built custom functionality which makes it quick and easy for the Chambers staff to update the website.
The final website not only improves the online identity for Six Pump Chambers but increases the effectiveness of their website as a marketing tool. A beautifully crafted design combined with modern responsive functionality mean the website is appealing and accessible to a wide audience.
The right use of technology improved the aesthetics of the site and reduced the effort required to maintain it. The Six Pump team are now able to update their website to reflect their legal work in a simple and easy manner. The Chambers now has platform which they can build on for years to come.
