Celebrating International Women's Day 2021

Celebrating International Women's Day 2021
March 8th, 2021

Today, we are celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the globe. We also strive to raise awareness about the challenges women face and call out gender bias and inequality.

"A challenged world is an alert world"

We support this year's theme #ChooseToChallenge by asking the amazing women of our team to give their views on equality and inclusivity and share their accomplishments with us to inspire and motivate every girl or woman out there.

As I contemplate the amazing women who have gone before us along with those that we don't know about and will never meet, I feel more than ever that change comes from challenge. I ask everyone to choose to challenge. If you are at home leading your families, careers, yourself. If you have challenges I couldn't even contemplate, where everyday is a struggle for food and shelter. We rise up by raising others.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has" - Margaret Mead

This past year has been unlike any other- it was the year I chose to 'go it alone' and it's been incredible. To work with some many different people and really make a difference. I have loved presenting to SLT and Boards - often where I'm the only woman. To have people listen and my recommendations make a difference to their business, to do all this whilst schooling from home our 3 children- that makes me proud!

Like countless other women around the world, I chose to follow my own path. I worked hard, got the education I wanted, travelled and settled down in a foreign country where I found a job that I'm really proud of.

It is not always easy, and we have to work hard to follow our dreams, sometimes harder than men, but we can definitely challenge the norms and be whatever we choose to be. Successful career women, fantastic mothers, loving wives or proud singles, politicians, artists, athletes... and the list never stops.
