LegalTech in Leeds

Whitecap Consulting, along with multiple partners and sponsors, launched LegalTech in Leeds as a short-term initiative to implement the recommendations of the Leeds City Region LegalTech and Innovation Report. The goal was to foster collaboration between the legal and tech industries in Leeds City Region and drive the digital modernisation of the legal field.


The Challenge

As LegalTech in Leeds is a new initiative, they needed:

  •  To design a brand identity reflecting the network’s friendly yet edgy and innovative vibe. 
  • A new website that would use to communicate with their network and provide information on the latest initiatives and events. 

The Delivery

Creating a friendly and edgy brand identity 

Our creative team teamed up with LegalTech in Leeds to understand their requirements and create their brand identity. This included a series of workshops to:

  • Define the brand personality 
  • Create a style guide that would match the brand's personality and would be used on its website and social media
  • And set brand guidelines that included colours, fonts, and imagery. 

Designing and building a conversion-optimised website in record time 

Using our low-code technology, we were able to: 

  • Design and develop a modern and vibrant website that is content-rich, easy to manage, navigate, and conversion optimised. 
  • The website’s goal, besides informing, is to increase attendees to their various events and workshops. We designed the website to make it easy to see the newest events and subscribe to them.  
  • The new website is dynamic, interactive and trustworthy with subtle but impactful lottie, hover and scroll animations.
  • We created a customised, flexible CMS designed around their team’s needs. 
  • Their marketing team is now autonomous and can make content and design changes independently without technical assistance. 
  • The new website is built to be secure, SEO-optimised and scalable.

The Results

Since launching the new website, the brand has seen: 

  • The website was built in record time. We planned, designed, built and launched it in 10 weeks.
  • According to Julian Wells, the Director of this initiative, the website “ has been widely praised by our sponsors, partners and the LegalTech community that it was designed to serve.”
